1). On March 7th 2002 we arrive in Singapore, the 8th and last country of this tour.
This picture was taken on Singapore's south coast.

2). Close up.

3). We camp in the nice coast parks that Singapore has.
It's free, and that in expensive Singapore!
The blue rain flysheet we made ourself in Malaysia and works well.

4). Detail from Chinatown. Yes, a Chinatown in a Chinese city.
These are the last old houses from old-Singapore.

5). Detail from 'Haw Par villa'. This is a theme garden about Chinese mythology.
It was founded by one of the two tigerbalm brothers (yes, that ointment).
This is a great excursion that I can recommend!
The thing that is special about Singapore, is how this society works.
I can't tell you that in photo's, but I have written a story about that.
If you click here you can
read that story in a seperate window.
You can also continue to the last picture in this short serie.

6). On March 21th 2002 we fly back to The Netherlands in just 14 hours.
This great journey was 18.000 KM long and took 18 months, but now it's over!
