These are the father and mother of Rene at their wedding day on November 15th in 1958.

Precisely 9 months later my sister Marielle was born at August 21th 1959.

They had to wait a bit longer for me. For my mixture and secret recipe more time and careful preparation was needed. Then the time was ripe and it happened:

René was born on October 30th 1962 around 04:00 uur.

My western astrological sign is therfore a Scorpion. My Chinese sign is a Tiger with the year element Water and internal companion a Tiger too.

The Tiger is powerful, independent and flexible (survives in all climate regions). Their behaviour is loyal, courageous, ambitious and determined. A Tiger always hunts and does not like an easy prey. A 1962 Tiger is a Water Tiger and is more sensitive for other people's motivations than Tigers usually are. But a Tiger never becomes a pet. Chinese signs with a corresponding internal companion (that follows from their hour of birth) are capable of balancing their positive and negative qualities. Sometimes they do this and sometimes they don't.

The Scorpion is an introvert loyal hard worker that doesn't forget an insult easily. This is your best friend or your worst enemy! As a kid he sought and found his own way: things could go anyway, as long as it was his way. However, he looked quite cute, didn't he? On some pictures he looks like an obedient and sweet boy. Appearance misleads. Remember an old Chinese saying: "Like a Tiger dressed in sheep skin".

Here Rene is 8 years old (1970). On foot and by bicycle he allready discovered the outher edges of his world: always looking for new frontiers. That remained so till the day of today.

Other interests are: Travel, snowboarding, cycling, swimming and flying glider planes.

Listening to music is important for me. My musical bandwidth is quite wide: from Metal to Opera. Others include: Jazz, 60-ers Pop, 70-ers Rock and lots of classical music.
